Let’s explain my map of every striptease club in London

To truly learn about London, ask a local – so why not listen to  a striptease expert – let’s explain my map of every striptease club in London. With so many venues shutting down in all parts of London’s nighttime economy I though that it was important to refresh it.  My Google map has has almost 100,000 views – obviously there are a lot of curious potential customers out there!

As a former stripper, who now hosts and produces regular shows and private events, and a woman who produces events and actively campaigns with the East London Strippers Collective, I have a unique insight into the history of London’s striptease.  The city has both big and small venue, in grand basement clubs and cosy local pubs – check out my explanatory guide to different striptease venues in London here. I have conducted pretty thorough research – either by visiting or working in the venues, or speaking to other girls who have. Whilst some might consider me lucky to have such access, it speaks volumes about how friendly the striptease world can be and the camaraderie of the dancers within it.

Please contact me if you are a venue that feels that it needs to be included. I’d also love to hear your experiences in the comments – especially if you visited a venue which has now shut down, such as the much missed White Horse.  I’ll explain my map of every striptease club in London with more information and stories to the readers of this blog and in my efforts to lessen the stigma around stripping and visiting venues.

About author

sassy

Sassy by name, Sassy by nature, I write to explode the myths which surround the lapdancing profession - standing up for the clubs, the girls and the customers. Its not always drinking champagne and playing with my tits - it can be hassle, hustling and hangovers. At heart I'm just a regular twenty-something posh cockney living in London who likes taking her clothes off...

Shame what has happened to the whole stripper industry. Back in the 80’s and 90’s it was soaring and strippers were in high demand in UK. Be interested to see just how many strip clubs there were in London throughout the different eras compared to now to see the trend. Hopefully the economy picks up soon for the stripping world, be interesting to see what happens after Brexit…

Having visited most clubs in London and the surronding area have to say we have lost some great venues and venues that I have a lot of personal memories of. From The Peel to the William the 4th on the South of London I have spent a lot of time in the Quuen Anne and Chelsea Reach and of course the Shoreditch area got some wonderful memories. Almost 30 years of being a pervert or dirty old man as I have been called I could write several volumes of the weird and wonderful.

London has lost so many venues it’s tragic. But 30 years of experience sounds enticing and exciting…. I want to add the lost venues to the map, or create a map of lost venues so that they are a pair looking at past and present – whaddya think? Will you help me out Tony? 😉
